Solved: user tracking configure trunk for end host discovery

Hi,

has anyone tested user tracking option "configure trunk for end host discovery"? If enabled, i only get the user information for the native vlan. We have some nexans fiberswitches connected to cisco 4507 & 6500 via trunk ports. We need the information about the connected users. LMS is 3.1, installed on windows 2003.

This feature tells UT to acquire users found in the MAC address table on trunk ports. That will include all VLANs. However, Campus may not be showing the other VLANs as user VLANs for this switch. In that case, you will need to modify NMSROOT/campus/etc/cwsi/ut.properties, and set UTGetVlansWithUserPorts=0.
