Hi,

If you dont want a particular phone to have access to the personal directory or corporate directory, then what you can do is to enter a fake ip address on the directory url for that phone.

Simply scroll down to the url settings on the phone and enter an adress on the corporate directory eg http://youarenot allowed.

But now here is text screen - Host not found.

How I can hide this text without changing any phone's firmware?

Thats the whole idea...It shouldnt find the host. There is no way to hide the text

Maybe there is some fake adress that I can use here?

I mean I want to Phone work without any string

error but more quickly and without Personal Directory

you can enter a fake ip address there

I have done somechanges with ip http://CUCMIP:8080/ccmcip/xmldirectory.jsp XML file that phone requests from CUCM.

-

Select a directory

-

Personal Directory

http://xxxxxxxxx:8080/ccmpd/pdCheckLogin.do?name=undefined

-

Corporate Directory

http://xxxxxxxxx:8080/ccmcip/xmldirectoryinput.jsp

Now it's look like this

Select

With this feature I hide not needed fields.

What you have done applies to all phones. I thought what you wanted was for some phones...

Well done! Good one.

I wonder, that there isn't any standart rule fot disabling Personal Directory in CUCM for some users

This is an old post but came across it looking for the solution.  Then it dawned on me that simply unchecking the Enable box on the Personal Directory under Device > Device Settings > Phone Services is the simplest way to kill the personal directory globally.

Yes, that makes sense removing the reference in the XML file; but where do you upload the file to

after the modifications? xmldirectory.jsp is not in the TFTP directory. Actually it should be in the HTTP directory??

If you could tell me where/how to upload this file to on CUCM6/CUCM7 after modifying it, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Yup, I also am trying to eliminate Personal Directory from showing up on ALL IP phones.

THANKS!!

do you want to disable it in a single phone or in all phones registered to the CM?

if in single phone you can delete the url in ip phone,

but if you want to disable it in all phones, delete the url in personal directory url in enterprise parameters.

regards

Hi,

How to achieve this in CUCM 5.x and above?
