SIP B/W Allocation

With a conversation in progress, a second incoming call is received. If the b/w is allocated to say; 80K; in the hold state, does b/w actually allocate to a lesser amount, or does the b/w path remain at the initial 80K?

When you place a call on hold, or phone goes otherwise into Hold State, the bandwidth that it was allocated across the link will be reduced.

Transmission bandwidth consumption during the on-hold condition is reduced in a telecommunications system providing communication channels for the transmission of data between system stations.
