WAE512 "no Flash detected"?

I have a brand new WAE512 with no inline card plugged in. During bootup, it says "operating system not found". I then tried a 4.0.9 Recovery CD. At the Installer Menu, I selected "install image from cdrom". But the message came up as "no Flash detected . . .".

Does it mean the WAE512 box does not have Flash installed? I'm guessing every box is supposed to have Flash installed out of factory. How can I confirm if the box has Flash or not?

Hi Gary,

Pull the top and right above the hard drives, where there would be a floppy drive in the old days, there should be a flash card inserted into a reader on a IDE cable. Sometimes it's loose inside the reader or has fallen out. See if you find one floating around in the chassis.
