Problem DC Directory CCM 4.0

Hello,

Every so often (1 time each 2-3 days), we have some problem with our DC Directory. The DC Directory goes down on our publisher server and we need to restart it manually.

On the log, i found no many information. The 3 last lines in the Event Viewer are the following:

Warning: DCD Directory --> DC Directory Server has been QUIESCED, all modification operations will be rejected. Interrogation operations are unaffected.

ERROR: MSSQLSERVER --> Database log truncated: Database: CDR.

Information: DCDirectory --> Database log truncated: Database: CDR.

If someone have an idea to help me.

Thank you.

Getting a lot of DC Directory error messages in Application log on Call Manager Server every 24 hours. DCD pauses and then attempts to restart

This message simply means that write operations to the directory have been paused temporarily. This occurs when the MCS or BARS backup utility or any other type of backup, does its backup of DCD. A few minutes later you should see an event where the directory becomes unquiesced.

Sometimes you will see those messages during, or right after the backup application has completed. The 'Quiesced' is telling us that DC Directory cannot get the resources from the server because some other process is hogging the resources. Basically, this is CallManager 'pausing' the DC Directory service until it completes what it is doing.

Thanks for you fast reply !

I understand very well your explanation but the DC Directory didn't start again after the Quiesced mode. We need to restart it manually.

Could you explain me what we need to restart it manually?

Thanks,
