SPA-2x1GE-V2 card on Cisco XR12010

Hi,

I have a SPA-2x1GE-V2 card installed on a XR 12010 router which has both Copper and Fibre connectivity options but somehow, the link does not comes up on copper. When the same connection is made through on a different box (48-port-Ethernet line card)using the same cable, the link comes up. What could be the problem ?

Speed and Duplex settings of both devices are similar

Hello Amit,

you probably need to specify that the RJ-45 media type has to be used:

something like

int gix/y

media-type rj-45

The default can be to use the fiber.
