I'm new in IPTel and have the following problem, Idid an installation with a CME, and in the first week everything looked normal, but now the customer wanted to call the outside number 1207 and could not reach this number also when dialing 01207. The numbers that are forseen are 014800001 til 0148000099. the customer wanted from me to use only 2 digits (01 - 99) internal. I did mention that problems could arise, is there a workaround to solve this problem ? Can you advice, what to do, don't want to go to 3 or 4 digits.
I have included the config

Is it possible to change the DID range from 00-99 to 00-89?
If this is something reasonable, then you can use your outside dial peers to have a 9.T destination pattern and you won't have problems.
Otherwise, you will have an overlapping dial plan and you would need to use more digits for your internal DNs.
How many people are at the office? You may want to consider if a 2 digit dial plan is wise for expansion purposes.

Hi Nick,
Thanks for the answer.
Just only 50 people, and i thought just to remove the fax on the number 01. The only thing that is configured are the faxes in the range 01-09 (three)
90 is used for the mailbox and 99 when the phones are not logged in.
There are stil no numbers used in the 50's - 60's and 70's
It was a choice from the customer did propose to use more then 2 digits, but it was a standalone site with no more then 50 people

90-99 was just an example.
If you don't have anyone in the 70-79 range, you can use 7 as your access code instead.
I would look for a range you can use as your access digit, or try moving some directory numbers around to manage this.

I think i will propose the customer to move the three faxes 01 -02 -03 to another number and leave 00 - 09 free, hope this will solve his problem
I hope that this is not an issue for him
Thanks for the reply

Can I do the following. the customer asked me not to change the incoming call to the numbers 01-02-03-04.
But could I move the numbers 01-02-03-04 ie to 81-82-83-84
and add
num-exp 14800001 81
num-exp 14800002 82
num-exp 14800003 83
num-exp 14800004 84
I have already the expression :
num-exp 148000.. ..
and would add the above expressions, so when they fax from the outside world they can still use 01 - 02 - 03 and 04. And I can free up the 0 serie.
