Scenario:

2 Incoming connection , 1 in HQ and 1 in the DR site .

HQ and DR site span 100 meg WAN LES / OSPF.

is there a way that i can effectively load balance between both the ISP.

My design does not permit to use BGP .

edge router can be provided with 12.4 , the devices which are used in the path are of v12.2 .

Do you currently orginate a default route into OSPF from ISP facing routers?

yes , we have default route adv hq and is redistributed to ospf.

I don't recall how OSPF sets the metric when orginating a default, but assuming it doesn't add internal OSPF cost, would originating a default from the DV site provide what you need?
