CCSP without PIX ? Why ?

Unanswered Question

I want to learn for ccsp certification. I have CCNA Security. Next is SNRS, for me.

1) I see that SNRS 642-503 is no longer available, and it has been replaced with SNRS 642-504 (I can't find a book for this exam). I have looked on the topics for both 503 and 504 version and I noticed that 504 is a chapter shorter (AAA). This chapter has been moved to another certification?

2) I noticed that SNPA also is no longer available, but this was not replaced with anything. We don't learn about PIX anymore, only ASA ? Can u please clear this for me?

3) I did see on an earlier post here that somebody sad that is better to take CCIE Security documentation to prepare for CCSP.

thank u !

I have this problem too.

Not sure about all your questions, but the ASA is pretty much a Pix (with quite a few enhancements). It has a similar command syntax and if you can configure a Pix it won't take much to pick up the ASA. The Pix is EOL and is outdated today (not that there aren't any out there though!)
