Hi all,
Several members of staff who often work from home are complaining that thie instances of IPC will freeze/drop audio, typically when they are on conference calls. A restart of the software is then needed.
We had the same issues with IPC 2.1.1 and an older version, so im wondering here if this is a broadband connectivity issue? Remote users connect their laptops via broadband to our secure VPN servers at work.
Has anyone experieced IPC dropping audio or crashing when used remotely via broadband? Is it particularly sensitive as an application to drops in network availability...? (ie local exchange slows net connection or drops it completely for a few seconds periodically)
Thoughts appreciated.
Cheers

What version of CCM are you using?
What version CCM OS are you running?
Which is the VPN software and version?
Which is the CSA version?
Are you running many applications that use a lot of the processor resources when this problem occurs?

Hello,
In the IP Communicator, check to see if you have the "optimize for low bandwidth" box checked. This is under Preferences----->Audio Tab. See if the behavior changes.
Hope that helped, if so please rate.
