Which BCMSN Cisco Press book to buy?

Unanswered Question
Feb 9th, 2009

I see that this question was asked in Nov of 2008 but wasn't really answered. I am not interested in any web sites. :)

There is the BCMSN official exam guide, 4th edition.

Also, there is the Building Cisco multilayer switched networks, 4th edition.

I am not wishing to buy both. Anyone already get both and think one is better than the other?

Don't get the exam guide unless you have already studied. Get the other one first, then get the exam guide.

I believe edition 5 is out, although I used edition 4. However if you are new to the subjects then I would strongly urge you to invest in Chris Bryants BCMSN study guide (its only £30) and it will give you a clear and concise picture of EVERYTHING you need to know for the BCMSN. Then once you've read his study guide, read the Ciscopress exam guide for the details and to reinfoce what you've learnt.

CBT Nuggets or Trainsignal video's would be good too.
