HI every body!
Let say we have layer 3 switch. It has f0/1 as layer 3 interface (199.199.199.1/24) connected directly to host (199.199.199.2)
Now if sw sends the packet to its directly connected host( 199.199.199.2), will that packet be cef switched or processed switched?
Thanks a lot and have a nice day!

If you mean the switch itself is the source for the packet, likely the answer depends on the platform and type of packet, but there's a very good chance it's likely to be process switched. If not, generation of the packet should be process based. Network devices are normally optimized for traffic passing through the device, not being sourced by the device.
