ASA: Active/Stdby: Stateful Failover: IOS upgrade query

Hi All,

I have 2ASAs in Active/standby with stateful failover mode. Planning to upgrade IOS. Wanted to disconnect Standby from network first and upgrade the IOS. Now, the inside interface config..

********************************

interface GigabitEthernet1/0

nameif inside

security-level 100

ip address 192.168.20.6 255.255.255.192 standby 192.168.20.7

**************************

When the standby unit is disconnected and connect the laptop directly with Xover cable, if I assign my laptop with any ip in the inside interface subnet range, will it work or due to standby ip config, any issue will be there..?
