Command "ip load-sharing" not working on 7609,

Customer is trying to use the command "ip load-sharing" in a 7609 with the version 12.2(18)SXF8 and it is not working. The same command in a 3640 with the version 12.2(27) is working.

Does someone knows if there is any restrictions from the hardware or IOS for this command on the 7609?

As far as I know, you can not do "per packet" load balancing (not supported) but you can do "per destination"
