Hello,
I currently have a 4506 CATOS, SUP-II WS-X4013. Can I covert this to IOS or must I replace the SUP card to have it running IOS?
If possible, please provide link to documents which explains how to go through the process. Thank you.

You cannot convert a SuppII to IOS. You must have at least a Supp II plus supervisor to have IOS . Supp II is catos only.

glen.grant is right. X4013 is a CatOS Sup II and you need at least Sup II+ to run IOS. Follow this link:

Under Supervisor Engines are links that will help you navigate to which Supervisor cards you want/need.

The only models that can be converted from catos to IOS are the 6500 series.

But from what the link says I can upgrade from the SUP-II to a SUP-II Plus and that will already be running the IOS correct?

Yes. Sup-II+ is IOS while Sup-II is CatOS.
