ASA5510 cannot ping ....

Hi All,

I have setup a L2L vpn between the HQ and the remote branches. The vpn connection is working fine, all the PCs from the HQ could ping to any the remote branch PCs. But only the ASA5510 itself could not ping to any of the remote branches PCs.

What could be the cause ??

Try using an extended ping:-

ping <> <>

so ping outside <>

I have tested the ping command on both of the interface, but it does not work.

To be honest I am not suprised - I would have been amazed if it actually worked.

This is normal behavour for the firewall.
