### Question about FXO?

Hello,

During making search about FXO i found that statement" An FXO trunk is one of the simplest analog trunks available or as tie line. Because Dialed Number

Identification Service (DNIS) can only be sent out to the PSTN, no DID is possible and Automatic

Number Identification (ANI) is supported for inbound calls"

Is this mean it only use to make calls to pstn only ( outbound call) and can't make inbound call ?

What is the meaning of tie line?

Waiting for reply?

The FXO is the traditional analog lines installed in most homes of the world and supports both inbound and outbound, unless telco provision differently.

A tie line is a leased voice circuit between two places. It not very common anymore.
