ASDM ASA5505

Answered Question
Feb 12th, 2009

The ASA5505 was re-set to factory default configuration. Opened a browser with address https://192.168.1.1. A window pops asking for the username and password. What is the default username and password?

Thanks.

I have this problem too.

since it is back to the default settings it should not have username and password, have you tried just hitting enter on this? if it does not work try a blank username and "pix" as a password.

blank for username and password does not work,

blank username and cisco password does not work,

administrator username cisco does not work,

administrator username blank psswd does not work,

cisco cisco does not work either.

enable_15 for username and "cisco" or "asa", enter/blank for password do not work

Check your java version. I had the same problem.

Please install java JRE 6 update 7 and it will fix your problem.
