Alias devices with RMS 4.1

I found four more alias devices on RMS. The reason is we setup different name on the local device with the DNS server. For example, the same IP address 10.10.10.10, we setup hostname as wh-cd-01 on the switch, but the result is wh-cd-1 when we tried to resolve the name with our DNS server.Which one I need keep if I would have to remove another one. Do we need keep the same name to fix this issue other options?

Thank you very much!

Keep whichever one you want. The one you choose should be the desired management name/address.

Aliases could come back, however, if you're using CS 3.1.1 and CS Discovery. This is due to bug CSCsm66330. If this is the case, you can contact TAC to get a patch.

Thanks for your advice :)

Actually I am using CS 3.1.0. Looked like our version is not affected by this bug.

I would keep hostname part. Hopefully they could not come back again.

Thanks again

No, they should not provided your DNS is now correct.
