Solved: CMBE 6.1 and Presence

Hi

I will be shortly installing CMBE (CUCM Business edition) 6.1 (CUCM 6.1 + UC 2.1) at a clients place.

There is a presence CUP 6.1 included in the bundle we recieved.

Can I install presence on the same server (MCS 7828 H3)?

If so what are the instructions to do so? I have gone through Cisco a lot of times but could not find anything related.

Has any one deployed CMBE and presence on same server?

Any help is appreciated

It is not possible to install CUPS server on CUCM or CUCM-BE or any other servers.

CUCM-BE is a very special exception that you can have CM and UC on the same box.

All other voice appliance (CUPS, CER, CUMA, CUPM) require to be installed on dedicated servers.

You need a separate server for presence.

You cannot install it on CUCM server.

Thanks for quick reply. I know it cannot be installed in CUCM server.

I want to know if possible on CMBE server because CMBE came bundled with Presence software.
