Hi every body!

If i want to configure switch 3550 to use 802.1x with radius server. Are the following steps are correct?

switch(config)# aaa new-model

switch(config)# radius-server host 10.10.10.10 key cisco

switch(config)# aaa authetication dot1x default group radius.

switch(config)#aaa authentication network default group radius

switch(config)# dot1x system-auth-control

switch(config) int f0/1

switch(config-if) dot1x port-control auto

Do we need the command"aaa authentication network default group radius" or not?

thanks a lot!

No you don't need it, it is optional if all your are doing is configuring 802.1x. See this link for more details -
