Dial peers for calls from CME to CME

2 SME routers. One has 111-xxxx phones and the other has 222-xxxx phones. Calls originating and terminating on the same CME work fine. Calls originating from one CME to the other CME ring fast busy in both directions.

dial peer statements

dial-peer voice 1 voip

destination-pattern 111....

session target ipv4:<ip address>

On the other CME

dial-peer voice 1 voip

destination-pattern 222....

session target ipv4:<ip address>

Both routers have:

voice service voip

allow-connection h323 to h323

debug voioce dial-peer shows that the call matches the correct dial peer

Are you using 7 digit extensions at each site?

If not, you may need to configure translation patterns to either only send 4 digits (or how many digits you're using for your dial plan), configure num-exp, or translate incoming 7 digits to 4.

If you are using 7 digit extensions this should be fairly painless. You may want to add 'codec g711ulaw' to the codecs to see if there is a codec problem.

As well, add the interface level command:

h323-gateway voip src-address

If you have multiple IP addresses you may not be using the correct ones for your source without this.
