Hi!

I was doing a change in m ASA5505 today, but when I was trying to save it to memory, I got the message

"Building configuration...

Cryptochecksum: xxxxxxxxxxx

%Error opening disk0:/.private/startup-config (Read-only file system)

Error executing command

[FAILED]"

What can I do to resolve this? I have tried reloading the ASA, but that did not help. I can not do changes to the filesystem (copy, delete) either.

Try

ASA-5505(config)# fsck disk0:

It looks as if flash memory is corrupted. Command mentioned above does a file system check and attempts to fix corruptions.

Thanks, that fixed the problem. fsck did not output anything, but after running it, it works.
