weird routing

Answered Question
Feb 14th, 2009

i have a client with a 2801 router in a net cafe with 1 leased line and 2 DSLs 24

and he wants the games trafic to be routed through leased line(WIC-1T) MSNs Internet through 1st DSL and P2P trafic through 2nd DSL. Is this possible assuming the customer has all the interfaces needed and if yes a TIP to do it would be great.

I have this problem too.

Hello Emmanuel,

you can use policy based routing to forward traffic based on criteria beyond destination routing.

With PBR you use a route-map to decide how to send traffic:

You need to find out what TCP and UDP ports are used by the different applications.

see

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/lan/catalyst4500/12.2/20ew/configuration/guide/pbroute.html

Hope to help
