Cisco Analog Telephone Adaptor

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have some confuse for which Cisco ATA I should order ATA186-I1-A or ATA186-I2-A?

I have captured the below text from Cisco web site:

"The Cisco ATA186-I1 and Cisco ATA188-I1 provide 600-ohm resistive impedance. The Cisco ATA186-I2 and Cisco ATA188-I2 provide 270 ohm + 750 ohm // 150-nF complex impedance. The impedance option is requested when you place your order and should match your specific application. If you are not sure of the applicable configuration, check your country or regional telephone impedance requirements."

This is exactly my problem, which one I should go for the 600-ohm or the complex impedance one?

Its almost impossible to get this information from the telephone service provider, is there any reference that I can use to till the right ATA to use in Saudi Arabia.

Regards,

Tarik

You should go with the complex impedance (I2 in the part number) for Saudi Arabia.

Hello,
I know that a document available on the Cisco Web site describes country per country the type of ATA impedance that should be ordered but after several searches, I cant't find it.

Does anybody knows where I can find it?

Thanks & Brgds,

Gael

whereas {locale} one of the command entry in the above table based on your country, the output of that command does gave the answer.

on may case I have tried:

cptone SA

and I have got 600-ohm

Tarik

Hi

I think there is a mistake... Our internal doc shows for Saudi Arabia it is I1 and for South Africa it is I2.
