Configure 2 non routable areas within the same router

I want to phase out one old router (7206) which is now doing routing of DMZ area.

I have an MSFC II (on 6509) doing routing in my internal LAN.

I want to know if it is possible to create in the MSFC another area for the DMZ which will do routing ONLY for DMZ addresses and NOT routable to internal addresses.

Any suggestions !!

Hi

If your MSFC is 2A ( ie a SUP32 ) then you could use VRF's to isolate the routing for your DMZ.
