1522 Antennas configuration

Unanswered Question

Hi,

I have a doubt with the 1522 Access Point antennas configurations. The document show that there are two options for antenna configuration based on how the access point is mounted.

----------Cable strand-----Pole Mount

Antenna

Port

1---------2.4Ghz------------5Ghz

2---------5Ghz--------------no

3---------2.4Ghz----------- 2.4Ghz

4---------no----------------2.4Ghz

5---------no----------------no

6---------no----------------2.4Ghz

I don't understanding well.

. The antenna port 1, work with 2.4 and/or 5Ghz?

. If the Access Point is a RAP, it's work as cable strand? And if is a MAP it's work as a Pole Mount?

. My company bought a 1522 access point, and the access point is labeled this way: antenna port 1 = 5Ghz

antennas port 3,4 and 6 = 2.4Ghz

What is the factor, for decision if I use Cable strand or Pole Mount ?

obs: My Access Point will work as RAP.

thanks !

Claudio
