Gateway Configuration in CAR 4.2

My gateway reports in CAR yield inaccurate results. If I report on only local calls, the reports list calls that are cleary long distance. After an hour on the phone with TAC I'm no closer to knowing how or why? Question: when configuring the gateways in CAR there's an area code field. Help describes is as follows: "enter the area code for each gateway that you want to configure". What is meant by area code for the gateway? is that in reference to where our call manager is located? This is vague to me, I'm grateful for any clarification on this matter. Thanks, Kelly
