7935 "spider" phones - speakers dead after upgrade to CUCM 6.1(2)

After our recent upgrade to CUCM6.1(2), we have noticed three failed 7935 spider phones.

The failed phones all exhibit the same symptom - audio is one-way. Nothing can be heard from the speaker on the 7935. When we swap the device out for a spare 7935, the fault has gone. Plugging the faulty 7935 into an alternate port/location exhibits the ame fault.

When we migrated to the new CUCM, we obviously had to reset all the phones. Quite a lot of the spider phones needed to be power cycled to pick up the new callmanager settings from the vlan. We were cautious when doing this and made sure we waited 20 secs before powering devices back up.

Possibly as a result of all these resets, three 7935s now have what appear to be broken speakers, so audio is one-way only from that device.

Has anyone seen this before? Im worried that five weeks after the migration, we are starting to see these failures (although this could just be a lack of use on these phones until recently, thus the fault hasnt been found)

Thoughts appreciated. Our 7935s are all circa 2003 so perhaps this is just old age :o)

We have now had two more devices flagged up as showing one way audio. Closer inspection reveals that the speakers on the 7935s appear to have died. Has no one else had hardware failures like this in the 7935 Conference stations?
