Hi,

Can someone tell, what is the role of CiscoWorks visibroker smart agent in LMS.

I cannot see it in my server while checking services.

Does it affects if it not present?

Is it in the advance versions of LMS?

You better check the status of the processes within the ciscoworks GUI.

I don't recall for older versions of LMS but you should have about 65 proccess in running mode, 2 in shutdown and 0 in failed to start.

Id that is the case you should not worry

Cheers,

Michel

This is the CORBA broker. It is vital for process like jrm and ANIServer. It must be present. Check the output of pdshow for the RmeOrb and RmeGatekeeper daemons.

I was wondering last week about where /NMSROOT/lib/vbroker directory is gone... Is it no more necessary for CORBA to have a specific interface configured for communication in gatekeeper.cfg or have they changed the framework for the event bus?

We replaced Visibroker with JacORB in LMS 3.1. It can detect multi-home configurations dynamically.
