I have never configured AIP-SSM and looking for a how to guide that is short and to the point... any one got one??

1) login to the ASA and type

#session 1

2) on the IPS prompt type

#setup

3) then fill up the setting based on the questions, and configure the management IP address.

4) configur your PC or LAPTOP with IP address from the same subnets and connect through the GUI interface and then use the Wizard for configuring the sensor.

step 3 1/2 - connect a cable to the management port of the AIP-SSM, this is how you'll be accessing the unit via ssh and https.
