Locked out of an ASA 5510

I cleared the configuration on my ASA 5510 with "write erase" and "reload". I then typed "config term", "no pager" and "end" to turn of "---More---". Then typed "show tech-support".

The screen started scrolling as if I had type "show ?" over and over. Cycled power to ASA. Ever since the ASA does not respond to key strokes. The one exception is when it prompts for ROMMON access, I can use Ctrl-Break, but no other keystrokes work after that.

So, the device boots into non-privileged mode OK, but you can't type anything?

Can you type commands in ROMMON mode? (boot, confreg, etc)

No, it does not respond at all. When I let it boot all the way up it comes up to the Pre-configure Firewall Now prompt and I can't type anything there either.

Since my earlier post I've verified that I'm able to use the console on a different ASA and a couple of CAT 2960's. Plugged back in to this ASA and I can't type again.

I guess the solution was to just leave it powered off for a couple of days. It is now fine.
