CCVP Certification question

Unanswered Question
Feb 18th, 2009

I started this program 18 months ago and have already passed CVOICE version 5.0 and CIPT 1 & 2 on Cisco Unified Communications Manager Version 5.0 (one combined exam). Now I am preparing for GWGK exam. Today I went to the certification site and it appears that my previous exams may be void with the new requirement. Does that mean I have to do CVOICE "again" and CIPT 4.1 now. It is all confusing.

I have this problem too.

Exam numbers that I have already passed are:

642-432 CVOICE

642-445 CIPT 5.0

So I was hoping that I only need to do:

642-453 GWGK

642-641 or 642-642 QoS

642-426 - TUC

Is my assumption right?

For the definitive answer, check on the Certification Tracking System which will list in detail the possible CCVP paths and where you stand with regards to them.

HAve checked that and still very confusing with all the different paths for CCVP.It appears I am OK and I only need to do the 3 exams that I mentioned before.

Hi Alphone,

Just to add a note to the great tips from Thomas. I agree that you should be good to go with the remaining 3 listed exams. The CVOICE 5.0 is good for 3 years towards the CCVP Cert. The 3 remaining ones are marked ***;

Required Exam(s) Recommended Training

***642-642 QoS Quality of Service (QoS v2.2)

642-436 CVOICE Cisco Voice over IP (CVOICE v6.0)

Cisco Voice over IP (CVOICE v5.0)

Cisco Voice over IP fundamentals (CVF v1.0)

***642-426 TUC Troubleshooting Cisco Unified Communications Systems (TUC v1.0)

642-444 CIPT 4.1 Cisco IP Telephony Part 1 (CIPT1 4.1)

Cisco IP Telephony Part 2 (CIPT2 4.1)

***642-453 GWGK Implementing Cisco Voice Gateways and Gatekeepers (GWGK)

Hope this helps!
