How would I go about mapping a line to a button in CME? I want to make sure that when I user presses a button they get a specific line.

Thanks in advance for the help,

Steve

Hi,

This is called speed dials...The steps below shows how to configure it

SUMMARY STEPS

1. enable

2. configure terminal

3. ephone phone-tag

4. speed-dial speed-tag digit-string [label label-text]

eg...

conf t

ephone 5

speed-dial 1 4000 Bob

From this doc..

I should've said trunk, not line. I want calls to be able to go out of a specific trunk when the user presses a button on their phone, like a key system.

Thanks,

Steve

Hi,

this is the config that will put an fxo on a button. this is for a door phone but the same if a CO trunk was used.

voice-port 0/1/3

connection plar-opx 299

Station-Id name Door

dial-peer voice 6 pots

destination-pattern 81

port 0/1/3

ephone-dn 48

number 299

name Door

trunk 81

ephone 6

Type 7970

button 1:25 2:48

Thanks,

That's exactly what I was looking for. I was misisng the "trunk XX" command.
