Unable to provision vfi

Unanswered Question
Feb 20th, 2009

I try to configure VPLS BGP on a Cisco 7200 and I'm using c7200-adventerprisek9-mz.122-33.SRC3.bin. However I got an error saying "unable to provision vfi" when I entered the command "l2 vfi vpls1 autodiscovery". Can anyone let me know how to fix this error? Or does the 7200 router support VPLS BGP?

I have this problem too.

VPLS is not supported on the 7200. It is on the 7600, GSR and CRS though.

Hey Bheem, any updates on this?  We've got a bunch of ASR901s out there that they want to do a simple 3 node full mesh VPLS config.  Running asr901-universalk9-mz.155-1.S.bin with AdvancedMetroIPAccess

VPLS was planned for ASR901 but it looks like it was dropped based on
other customers request prioritization and amount of effort required to bring
VPLS on ASR901. Next Generation ASR901(ASR920) will have support for vpls  from 3.15 onwards.
