ASA 5505 and IP Phones on non POE ports

Is there any reason that the 5505 can't support IP phones on the non-POE ports (so long as we have power for the phones, via power cubex)? Does the ASA support native vlan? We would like to plug phones into ASA and PC's into back of phones for branch.

Thanks in advance,

Hi,

As long as your IP phones have an external power supply, they should work fine on any of the ASA 5505's switchports.

Yes, the ASA 5505 does support the native VLAN on trunk ports. You can modify it with the "switchport trunk native vlan " command
