Hi every body!
I have few questions:
1) Does the cisco pix 501 indicate on the box which interface is for outside?
2) if we have to connect two sides using vpn, will it require cisco pix 501 on each side? ( assuming we have to use only pix 501)
thanks a lot!

On the PIX 501 port 0 is intended as the connection to outside. The other 4 ports are part of a small Etherswitch and are intended for inside and DMZ connection.
When you talk about connecting two sides, are you talking about site to site VPN (rather than Remote Access VPN)? Site to site VPN requires a VPN termination device on each side. The VPN terminating device could be a PIX, or could be an IOS router (with an appropriate feature set that supports IPSec), or could be a 3000 series VPN concentrator.
