AnyConnect SSL VPN connection to ASA 5510 slow

We have recently installed a Cisco ASA 5510 to replace a Watchguard Firebox SSL VPN gateway. We configured the ASA for SSL connections with the AnyConnect client. Client connections authenticate and VPN tunnels are created successfully but throughput of file transfers is slower than that of the previous SSL VPN device. Are there specific settings we should look for in order to ensure we are getting maximum VPN client throughput?
