Hi
Does anyone know if the Cisco 888 has the same ADSL chipset as the Cisco 877 ?

I think Cisco 888 has the no same ADSL chipset as the Cisco 877. why because The Cisco 870 use the ST MTK20190 chipset and WAN interface is ADSL over basic telephone service. Cisco 888 use Conexant Chipset for SHDSL and WAN interface is G.SHDSL

Thanks, but still according to Cisco doc. it should be possible to connect the 888 over an ADSL, but what is the difference ? (I know that the 877 work over our public ADSL but will the 888 work as well??) :
âIf you plan to connect over an ADSL or G.SHDSL line:
- Order the appropriate line from your public telephone service provider.
For ADSL lines-Ensure that the ADSL signaling type is DMT (also known as ANSI T1.413) or DMT Issue 2.â
