Hello all,
Anyone know how to check whether IP Phone have a license or not?
We got Cisco IP Phone 7941 deliveried with two part number: CP-7941G and SW-CCM-UL-7941 in the dilivery document but only one box of IP Phone. The delivery told us that SW-CCM-UL-7941 is a software license that already in the box.
How can i check to make sure?
Any idea??
Thanks,

Hi,
The ordering inf for the 7941 is :
CP-7941G
Cisco Unified IP Phone 7941G
CP-7941G=
Cisco Unified IP Phone 7941G, spare
CP-7941G-CH1
Cisco Unified IP Phone 7941G, channel with license
And SW-CCM-UL-XXXX is the appropriate software license per phone and you won't use it to add on ccm 4.X
It is then become a DLU license from ccm 5.X and higher to add the phone to the ccm
and XXXX will represent the phone model
as in your case 7941
or any other type and for IP comm. it will be IPCOMM
So you cann add the phone to your ccm 4 with no regard to license issue in the server
But if you wish to add it on a ccm 5.x or 6.x or 7.x , you will need a device license unit DLU existing in the server itself
Wish this be helpful
Best Regards

Hi Sovannary,
SW-CCM-UL-7941 which you have ordered is nothing but a right to use (RTU) license. Its a paper based license. You'll find a document with the phone and that's it.
This mode of licensing applies for CallManager version 4.X and earlier and is completely honor based since there is no way to enforce the license on the callmanager.
