We have Ciscoworks loaded on a Solaris 9 operating system. We would like to bring the server down to single user mode and run a fsck to check and fix errors on the disk. Will this cause harm to the Ciscoworks application? If it will is there something within ciscoworks that can check the intergrity of the databases. We have the CM, RME, DFM and IPM modules loaded.

This is perfectly fine to do. If you want to be extra careful, run:
/etc/init.d/dmgtd stop
Prior to entering single user mode. Older versions of LMS did not call the K script properly, so this just makes sure all daemons are shutdown cleanly.
To check the integrity of the LMS databases, you can use the dbvalid script against each of the LMS dsn's. Each dsn name is the directory name under /opt/CSCOpx/databases. For example:
/opt/CSCOpx/objects/db/conf/configureDb.pl action=validate dsn=ani
