Question: CSM and SSL certificates

Unanswered Question
Feb 24th, 2009

I have a general question. I have a web site setup with a CSM handling https web requests presently.

I would like to use the existing certificate for a test site that "emulates" to some degree, the production site identified above.

My question is, could this cause any problem for my production site? Using the certificate with both the test and prod environments.

I've done this with servers, but not with a CSM or ACE...

I have this problem too.

I am sure you know that you need both public keys & Certs to run it on a different server.

There is little check needed to see if you can export keysform CSM/SSLM.

Assuming the key pair was generated on CSM/SSLM itself,

You can use the Keys on diff server provided that you generated keys on CSM/SSLM using "Exportable" option.

If the keys were generated via exprt option then only you can export the keys.

"show crypto key mypub rsa"

will display if the keys are exportable.

If they are then from the SSL module, where you have the keys and certificates,

export the trustpoint of the proxy service to a server using tftp and then import it to the other server.
