Stop/Delete Sync Archive RME Job

I've a customer who is having a problem with CiscoWorks. They are running Sync Archive job (Resource Manager Essentials > Config Mgmt > Archive Mgmt > Archive Mgmt Jobs) (RME 4.2) in LMS 3.1 however it appears the job has failed but he's unable to delete or stop the job.

Resource Manager Essentials > Job Mgmt > RME Jobs.

Use the Stop and Delete buttons to stop or delete jobs:

â€¢Stop button-Stops or cancels a running job, or one awaiting approval. You can stop/cancel a running job. You will be asked to confirm the cancellation of the job.

However, the job is stopped only after the devices currently being processed are successfully completed. This is to ensure that no device is left in an inconsistent state.

â€¢Delete button-Deletes the selected job from the job browser. You can select more than one job to delete. You will be asked to confirm the deletion.

If the job that you have selected for deletion is a periodic job, then you will be asked to confirm the deletion, as the instances of periodic jobs that are yet to run, would also be deleted.

You cannot delete a running job.

The Delete or Stop button appear to do nothing and he is unable to remove the job.

Does anyone know a method where this job can be stop/deleted or removed from the LMS Archive DB ?

Check to see if there is a daemon registered with the job ID as its name. For example, if the job ID is 1011, run:

pdshow 1011

If you see something running, stop it:

pdterm 1011

This should get the job to stop. The most likely underlying cause of these hanging jobs is bug CSCsv95235. A patch is available by contacting the TAC.
