Regarding high cpu utilization on cisco 4507

Hi Pro

we rae facing an issue in which, we have not connected anything no process is running..still we are getting CPU utilization to 30 to 40 %.

Existing IOS:-cat4500-ipbasek9-mz.122-50.SG1.bin

In switches the cpu has little to do with the actual moving of packets which are done by asics , that level is a normal level for an unloaded switch . Read this doc which will glaze your eyes over for explanation.
