Not enough DSP memory?

hernanseijas

Level 1

We have now 12 channels but the problem is that we need 16 channels, but when I tried to configure it a message appears saying that we have no enough DSP memory. I tried to remove the ds0-group 0 to configure 16 timeslots but I can not. I have installed a PDVM32 but the problem is still the same...

This is the config in my router:

controller E1 3/0/0

framing NO-CRC4

ds0-group 0 timeslots 1-12 type e&m-wink-start

description INTERCONNECT | 12 channels to PBX SIEMENS

Hi Hernan,

It is shown from your information that you have PVDM 12 installed and you have i HDV-NM

which have 5 PVDM-SIMM sockets

each pvdm-12 give you the folloiwng:

Runs up to twelve voice calls using a medium complexity CODEC (G.711, G.729a/b, G.726, fax).

Runs up to six voice calls using a high complexity CODEC (G.729, G.728, G.723.1).

And you have only one pvdm-12 installed

Check to see if your router support the 2 PVDM2-32 installed and if you configured them as MTP or conf resources

Thanks for your answer and sorry for my ignorance...but where can I check how to do this configuration?

regards

Hi Hernan,

If you move the T1 card to one of the HWIC slots on the chassis instead of the NM-HDV card, this will work because you have 2 PVDM2-32s on the motherboard. The NM-HDV only has capability for 12 channels at the moment.

hth,

nick

Can I do the change you are saying?

It looks like you have 2 WIC-T cards on in the HWIC slots, and there are 4 on the 3845. You should be able to move the card.
