Hi,
we have a Call Manager cluster v4.1 and manage aprox 300 x 7912 and 7911 handsets at our remote sites. There is a slight difference between the ring tones of incoming calls from external and other internal extensions. I have been asked to make all the incoming call ring tones the same. is there a global setting within Call Manager to achieve this?

Edit the "RingList.xml" and "DistinctiveRingList.xml". Both files can be found in C:\Program Files\Cisco\TFTPPath. You need to have the desired rigntone in the DistictiveRingList.xml file.
Don't forget to restart the TFTP service.

Just to add to the good info from MK (+5 MK :)
What you are seeing, or rather hearing is called :)
*Distinctive ring for on- and off-net status
This is "default" behaviour that cannot be changed by the Admin without changing the Gateway to On-Net.
