Hello
I have two ASA 5510 in active standby configuration and it workes quite fine. When a failover occures, the secondary unit keeps active, even if the primary is healthy again. Is it possible, to *automatically* make the primary the active one, if it is healthy after a failover?.
Thanks
Thomas

What you are looking for is called premption.Preempt
feature in failover is ONLY available in Active/Active Setup.

I have the same issue in our Active/Standby scenario, how can I force the active ASA which is now on standby to be the Active again.
I know there is a certain process I can do this where I can force them to swap roles live, but can't remember how.
I tried reloading the Active ASA (which is the standyby), but as soon as it came up it took the Active role again.
