upgrade path and cost

Hi,


We are looking at upgrading our Current Ciscoworks platform. It is

currently operating on a windows 2000 platform. The current configuration is as follows:

We would like to go to a 2008 server the discussion is to a virtual server on our network.



What are the pros and cons for this senerio and what is the best choice.


Currently we are tracking 200 + cisco devices.


Please suggest.

Just my opinion, but I believe you would find that this subject would be better answered on the Network Management forum (versus optical).
