Need advice on how to block external pings to the outside interface on ASA 5550 running version 7.2(1). I created ACEs and applied them to the outside interface but I'm still able to ping. Any help would be most appreciated.

This will block icmp on outside interface
asa(config)#icmp deny any outside

Use the ICMP command..
icmp deny any "interface name"
I.E icmp deny any outside
