I have some strange issue with the international dialing. We can call any numbers except call to Venezuela.
I found out what the issue is but I cannot figure it out on where to fix it.
The first call we are sending 011+numbers and the call type is unknown.
The Second call, we are sending 011+numbers and the call type is international (FAILED)
I just talked with the phone company and they are saying that if we cannot send 011 and calltype=international. It has one of them, or either one.
But I don't know why it is only for calls to Venezuela 011+58+numbers. I can make calls to other countries.
At this point, I am not sure where to go to fix the issue, I don't think we make any pattern in outgoing calls. I also check the CUCM and it looks good for the international dialing plan.
Please help, Thanks

That is correct. Now, there a couple of quirks that you have to consider.
First, sometime due to international routing, strange things happen with a country only or even a subset of it.
Second, depending the switch type confoigured, there is some (wrong) logic in cisco that can force type international behind your back.
So, try the suggestion above, configure for 011... and unknown, or 54.... and international.

How can the gateway determine this call type:
Plan:ISDN, Type:International
Plan:Unknown, Type:Unknown
Is that from our dialpan in CUCM? or something else.

From your question, I infer you have are using H.323 and isdn switch-type primary-5ess, correct?
I need this confirmed to guide you to the correct configuration.

Thank you again for your help,
H.323 - YES
and isdn switch-type primary-5ess - I am not sure
Also we are using CUCM 6.1 if that's matter

Try this quick fix under PRI interface:
isdn map address . plan unknown type unknown
Then check if gets the desired effect, force all calls to unknown numbering plan.

So we are adding this script to the PRI interface and it works
isdn map address . plan unknown type unknown
But it changed all plan and type to unknown. including the Calling Party Number
Calling Party Number i = 0x2181, 'XXXXXX2580'
Plan:ISDN, Type:National
is this going to be a problem?

Not necessarily. Check with a cellphone if you are receiving a correct CLID.

So i got this from another forum, adding this:
isdn map address 011* plan unknown type unknown
I have not tried it but it seems this will not change all of the call type, only 011*.
Any input if i should do
isdn map address . plan unknown type unknown
or
isdn map address 011* plan unknown type unknown
Thanks

Basically, it's ok to make all outgoing calls unknown type.
If you notice that changing the calling number creates any problem, come back here for an alternative configuration.

Plz find attached the logs & sh run & suggest....
We can call to all numbers except the below:
But from Avaya or cell phone we can make calls to that very number...We have CCM 6.1 & Cisco 2821 Voice Gateway..
